Welcome To IBSkin!
QUESTION: I would like to know if I would be able to edit the copyright link on my template that I have purchased for you.It is the policy of IBSkin that the copyright that appears at the base of our skins be left intact and unchanged unless copyright removal has been purchased. QUESTION: I just purchased a new skin and I was just sent an email saying that my order status has been updated to "delivered" or "completed" but I didn't receive my skin. What's going on?Some email clients have problems receiving emails that contain large attachments, and most of our skins are at least 1 or 2 megabytes in size. You first need to check your spam folder to see if it ended up in there, then you need to check your PayPal email address as well as any other email addresses you may have associated with our forums and/or skin shop. We may have sent the skin package to an email address where you were not expecting. 99% of the time we sent the skin package to your PayPal email address. This is why we encourage all our customers to register in the skin shop and on our forums with their PayPal email address to avioid confusion. Also, make sure you have "white-listed" our domain to receive emails from us in your email client. If you have checked all of your email accounts and spam folders and you still have not received your skin, chances are, your email client or ISP has rejected the email containing your skin files because the attachment was too large. Please open a support ticket explaining your issue and provide us with an alternate email address that you know will accept large attachments of 1 to 4 megabytes in size. Optional: You can always request the skin to be sent to another email address in the "comments" area on the skin shop payment page and we will use this email address. QUESTION: I want to sell your skins on my site. I will put your payment button on the skins to insure you get paid, but I like your skins so much I want to sell them. Can I do this? While I greatly appreciate the compliment, as well as the loyalty and support, unfortunately, we do not allow our skins to be sold on other sites. It is enough work to keep up with the sales and support here on IBSkin, and it would be impossible for me to insure that each customer is getting the quality of service and support if our skins were being sold on multiple sites. We do encourage all our loyal members and customers to place our banner or button on their site to help drive more traffic and business to our site, but no one has the right to sell or resell our skins under any circumstances. QUESTION: Most of your skins are designed for IPB 2.3.x but I still have 2.2.x, will the skins work on my board?Yes. There were not a lot of skin changes between 2.2 and 2.3 so our 2.3 skins will work on your 2.2 board. A few of the new 2.3 features will not work properly on your 2.2 board, but this is rarely an issue as you can't see those feautures in 2.2 anyway. QUESTION: I just purchased a new skin but when I got it installed it was all messed up/distorted and did not look like the preivew at all. What's going on?If you have any 3rd party modifications installed on your board, chances are, this has caused the problem. Because there are hundreds of modifications out there that actually change the appearance of the board itself, there is no way possible for us to insure that our skins will work with all of them. We only guarantee that our skins will work properly with all IPS components such as the gallery, blogs and download manager. In some cases, we do try to ensure our skins work with some of the more popular mods out there. We do not offer support in cases such as this where there are mods effecting the layout of the skin. Optional:You can purchase custom skin services from one of our designers to have your forum skin modified to work properly with your 3rd party mods. Please submit a support ticket if you would like to obtain these services. QUESTION: I just purchased a new skin in the skin shop. How do I download my skin?Your skin will be sent to you via email at your PayPal email address you used in making your purchase. Please make sure that when you register in our skin shop that you use the same email address as you use for your PayPal transactions to prevent any delay in filling your order. QUESTION: I just purchased a new skin in the skin shop. How long does it take before I receive my order? While we tell all our customers to allow 24 to 48 hours to receive their new skin, it usually gets delivered to you within a few minutes to hours, depending on what time you made the purchase. The staff members are located in the US and are on Central and Eastern time zones, so you will need to consider the time difference when expecting your order. Normal business hours are 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday and we are available at our own leisure on the weekends, however, chances are, someone is always here to fill orders. Please do not post a support ticket or email us asking where your skin is unless it has been at least 48 hours since you submitted your payment. In some rare cases, it could take the full 48 hours to complete your order. QUESTION: I just purchased a new skin but it will not allow me to import the images. What do I do?First, check the skin pack and see if it includes an "images" folder that has all the skin images in it. If it does, just upload that folder to your forums/style_images directory via FTP, rename this folder to reflect the title of the skin for easy recognition, and make sure to go into your skin settings to point the skin to your new image directory. If there is no "images" folder, then you need to ask your host to check your upload limit size and set it to something like 10mb or higher. Anything less than that and you will have more problems down the road than just trying to install this skin. QUESTION: I just purchased a new skin for the current version of IPB, will I be able to get free upgrades for later versions of the skins when they are updated?Yes and no. If it is a minor upgrade of IPB such as 2.3.3 to 2.3.4 then yes, you can receive a free upgraded version of the skin(s) when they become available here at IBSkin, however, if it is a major upgrade of IPB such as 2.3 to 2.4 or 2.3 to 3.0 then you may be asked to pay a small fee of $10 for the upgraded version of the skin when it becomes available as these major upgrades usually involve many hours of upgrading the source code of the skins. You will have to open a new support ticket in the help desk if you need an upgrade. You will be required to show your proof of purchase (paypal receipt details) before the upgraded files are sent to you. |
