A note from IBSkin's owner and designer, Sherri Jones

Hello IBSkin customers! My name is Sherri Lynn Jones. I have been an artist my whole life, and a graphics artist and web designer for most of my adult life. I've made IPB Skinning my full time career for over 10 years. I have two beautiful children. My son is in college and my daughter is in high school. My amazing husband works offshore. He's often gone weeks at a time and usually only home for 2 week increments. During his time home, I try to keep a regular work schedule here on IBSkin, but I like to spend as much time with him as possible. I usually announce here on the forums when he's arriving home so any sudden absence on my part for a day or two is no big surprise.

I am proud to call myself a United States Veteran. I served 4 years in the 124th Signal Battalion, 4th Infantry Division at Fort Hood, Texas. It was then that I experienced some of the best days of my life, including the births of my children. I'm very family and community oriented and thankfully I have passed these traits down to my children. I'm the soccer mom at my daughter's high school and I'm a very active volunteer in the community whenever possible. I've always been a quiet, caring, giving and respectful person. My family teases me because for most of my life, I have NEVER been able to tell a lie to anyone. It is not in my nature and it is not possible for me to ever hurt anyone, be cruel to anyone or to cause problems for anyone. So if you need someone to keep a secret, I'm NOT the one to tell. LOL :) I know it's hard to believe that someone with my kind of personality even exists in this day and age, but it's true. I'm sure you've heard many people say this about themselves in the past, but you will come to find that with me it's 500% true. I don't know any other way of life and I will always put others before myself. It's the only way I know to be. So when someone upsets me or attacks me or bullies me or threatens me, I usually fall apart.

IBSkin is a private owned business that I run out of my home. I have a family life that comes first and it can interrupt my daily work schedule more often than not. One of the reasons I have chosen to work from home is so that I can be available first and foremost for my family and this means never missing a tennis match or a soccer game or a day getting ready for the homecoming dance, etc. Another reason I have chosen to work from home is my health. I have chronic asthma that seems to have taken over my life. I also suffer from a chronic nerve disorder that prohibits me from being able to handle stress on any level and often causes migraine headaches. These health conditions often take me away from my work and interrupt my regular work schedule. When this happens, it can delay the completion date of current work projects that are scheduled to be released. This includes custom work as well as pre-made designs. Because I can't handle stress too well, I have always gone out of my way to be extra kind and accommodating to all customers and do all I can to please them to insure a stress free environment as much as possible. It is for this reason that I expect all members and customers to understand that I have zero tolerance for negative behavior and disputes and even the smallest incident will get someone banned immediately.

I have many responsibilities with my job here at IBSkin as well as away from work. I am a full time wife to a husband who works offshore, so I have to handle my household and family matters on my own for weeks at a time. I am also a full time mother with a daughter that is constantly on the go with involvement in student council, soccer, tennis, pep squad, leadership and community service. Her needs come first in my life. It is for all these wonderful reasons that I can not always be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at my desk for every customer. Please do not assume that if you haven't heard an email or a PM or a support ticket reply from me in a few days that I'm ignoring you or that I have taken your money and ripped you off by not completing your services. I have no one to fill in for me if I'm out sick or if I'm out because I'm with my family, so it is common for me to not respond to emails or phone calls for a few days at a time. It is also important for each customer to understand that it is very common for me to have 3 to 5 custom design projects going at any one given time. (sometimes even more) Plus I have MANY emails, PM's and support tickets to respond to and assist with on a daily basis. Even more so if I've been absent for any length of time. Please do not worry. I always get my work completed in a timely fashion and I never rip anyone off of their money. It's not in my nature and anyone who knows me knows that I could NEVER do anyone wrong. I've never been that kind of person and I never will be. It is very common for me to work 14 to 16 hour days for weeks on end without any day off, but it is also very common for me to decide to take 3 or 4 days off when my husband comes home from working offshore or when family comes from out of town to visit. I often post these events in our announcements forum or mention it in the shoutbox here on IBSkin when I can, but that isn't always the case if something comes up suddenly.

I live in the panhandle of Florida in the United States which is right on the Gulf of Mexico. This area is also known as "Hurricane Alley" because of our frequent hurricanes during the summer months each year as well as our constant thunder storms that we seem to get all year long that is always knocking the power and cable internet out. This can not be helped. Please understand that there may be times that I am not able to get online to work for several hours and even days because of these tropical conditions in the area where I live. When this happens, I also have no way to let anyone know, so I try to warn everyone ahead of time if we know a storm is coming.

With all of this being said, I hope this gives you a little insight on the kind of person I am and the kind of business I run. I'm only human and I'm only one person. We have thousands of customers and hundreds of custom design customers, so we do the best we can here to make everyone as happy as possible.

IBSkin's Refund Policy
IBSkin enforces a strict "NO REFUND" policy. This means no refunds and no exchanges. Make sure you test out every single aspect of a skin here live on our forums BEFORE you buy it. There are no refunds or exchanges for any skin at any time, for any reason. We have every skin installed live here on our forums for you to review in full detail before you make your purchase. The same goes for custom skins. We install all custom skins live here on the IBSkin forums for all custom skin customers to review completely before making their final payment on the completed skin. There are no refunds for any custom logos, custom icons, custom banners or any installation services of any kind. You purchase these items at your own risk.

PayPal Disputes
If any customer at any time ever opens a PayPal dispute for any reason under any circumstances, you will be permanently banned from IBSkin and you will never again be able to purchase our products or receive any services of support for any products from here and the IPS Marketplace and you relinquish Sherri and IBSkin from all responsibilities of doing any further work for you from the moment the dispute is opened. This includes, but is not limited to: Pre-made skins, custom skins, custom logos, custom icons, installation, and all other design services.

Custom Design Services
We offer custom design services here at IBSkin. This includes, but is not limited to: Custom skins, custom logos, custom icons and custom banners. Sherri is our only designer here at IBSkin and she is the one working on all custom design projects and the only one working on all our pre-made skins that you see in our skin shop. Between the IBSkin Shop and the IPS Marketplace, we have thousands of customers. We do the best we can to insure all customers are satisfied with their final product and we do all we can to get them out as quickly as possible, but we do not have a quick turn-around time with our custom work here at IBSkin. Please allow up to 6 weeks for ANY custom design project to be completed. (custom skins, custom logos, custom banners, custom icons, etc.) Even if you were told your design project might be completed sooner, you must allow up to 6 weeks for it to be completed. A delay in your custom design project completion date is not an excuse for opening a PayPal dispute. If you open a PayPal dispute because your completion date wasn't met, you relinquish me of any and all responsibilities to complete your work and you will be banned from IBSkin permanently and will never be allowed to receive our services again. I run IBSkin out of my home where I have constant interruptions, so it would be impossible to give an exact completion date on any design project.

Drama & Negative Reviews on IPS Forums
I understand that everyone has their own opinion and no matter how hard I try to please every customer, there will be those that are sometimes not completely happy with our work. This is a free country and you are allowed to voice your opinion weather it be good or bad, but I will tell you this... We do not rip anyone off. We never have and we never will. My whole life and the livlihood of my family is invested in my career I have built on my own here at IBSkin. If anyone ever causes me (Sherri) or any staff member of IBSkin drama or grief on the IPS forums you will relinquish all rights to any product you have purchase from IBSkin, you relinquish us from completing any custom work that may be in progress and all your licenses to purchased products or memberships will be removed permanently and you will be permanently banned from IBSkin. This means you will not run over to the IPS forums to post a complaint that your custom work wasn't completed fast enough or saying how awful we are because you didn't get your way. We never give an exact completion date and we always make every design to your exact specifications. Everything you need to know ahead of time to prevent drama like this is written right here on this page and it is posted 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for everyone to read. So you have no excuses.

Copyright Removal
Before you can edit anything on any of our products you have purchased from IBSkin, you must first purchase copyright removal. Even if all you want to do is change your category icons or change a font color, you must first purchase copyright removal. You do not need to purchase copyright removal to change your header logo or to add 3rd party modifications or to ad your own advertising banners to your skins. You only need copyright removal if you are removing any element of one of our skins and replacing it with your own.

IBSkin Sales & Special Deals
We often post sales and special savings deals here at IBSkin. When we post these sales we always give a sale ending date and time. Once that sale has ended, we will not extend these savings to any customer beyond this point. We use to try to do this to keep everyone happy, but it's getting to the point that too many people have opted out of receiving admin emails and contact us days after a sale has ended, asking us to please honor an expired coupon. We will no longer be able to do this. There's just too many people asking us to do this these days. We always send out newsletters to announce these sales and we post it here on our forums and over on the IPS forums. We also post them on Twitter and Facebook. Please make sure that you have allowed admin to send you emails in your control panel settings here on your account and that you are following us on facebook and twitter. This way you will never miss a sale. Don't worry, will will never send you spam or flood your inbox with constant annoying emails. We only announce important information, new skin releases and sales in our newsletters. Usually we only send about 2 or 3 emails each month. Sometimes we do not post our sales on the forums or on the IPS forums. We only announce them in admin newsletters by email. You MUST opt in to receive admin emails to make sure you don't miss out on future deals, big savings and new skin releases.

Premium Membership Subscription Payments
When you purchase a premium membership package, you must remember that this is not a one time purchase. This is a membership subscription. This means once you purchase this premium membership package, you will be automatically charged this same price every 6 months by PayPal. If you wish you cancel these future renewal payments, please visit your PayPal settings HERE to cancel any future automatic renewal payments to IBSkin for this membership. If this automatic payment goes through and we have already received payment, you can not open a PayPal dispute or charge back. If you file a PayPal dispute or charge back, you will be permanently banned from IBSkin. Too many people ignore this information when they purchase a premium membership and then expect to be able to file a charge-back or open a PayPal dispute to get a refund so IBSkin is putting a stop to this and anyone filing a charge-back or a dispute will have to be permanently banned from IBSkin and will never again receive products or services from IBSkin from our site or the IPS Marketplace.

Be respectful of others at all times on this board.
The purpose of the IBSkin forum is to provide a platform for the exchange of ideas and support for its customers and membership.

We are a commercial site. Occasionally, there will be conflicts that arise when people voice opinions. Be courteous when disagreeing with others. It is possible to disagree without being insulting.

Plagiarism & Piracy.
It really should not have to be said; but the point is going to be brought up anyway. There is a ZERO Tolerance Rule to Plagiarism and Piracy. Violations will will result in administrative actions.

Personal attacks are prohibited.
Commonly known as flaming, personal attacks are posts which are designed to personally berate or insult another. Text of this nature is not beneficial to the community spirit and will not be tolerated.

Any form of flaming will be removed and the violating member(s) will be dealt with by Administration.

Trolling is prohibited.
Trolling is the word used to describe a post that is deliberately designed for the purpose of angering and insulting the members of the forum community. Posts of this nature are disruptive and do not convey a friendly attitude.

No posting of personal information.
Please respect the privacy of fellow members and do not give out information such as phone numbers and addresses.

Administrative Actions
Actions taken by our Moderating Staff will not be debated in public venues. The administrators support our moderating teams actions and will not tolerate second guessing, abuse, or other disruptive actions against them. In the event that you think an action, post, etc by a moderator is inappropriate, please contact a board admin in private to discuss it.

Again, the board admins will not tolerate abuse of moderators for actions that take on this site.

Spamming and bumping are prohibited.
Spam is considered to be repetitive posting of the same text again and again or nonsensical posts that have no substance and are often designed to annoy other forum users. Bumping posts in order to keep them near the top of the list is also prohibited. Posts of this nature are not conducive to community spirit and are unwelcome.

Redundant threads will be deleted.
As a courtesy to other members topics, before beginning a new thread, please look to see if an active thread on that topic has already been established. If so, place your comments there instead. Multiple threads on the same subject clutter up the forum needlessly and many good ideas may be lost. Keep discussions about one topic to one thread only.

Impersonating another forum user, moderator or administrator is strictly prohibited.
You may not in any form or fashion login as another user.

Advertising and Advertisements.
Advertising on this site is not authorized by community members. This does not apply to links in your signature to your sites. Please use common sense in the signatures. These are privleges that are affordeed to you. Moderators do have the ability to edit your profile, signatures, etc if they are deemed inappropriate.

Post Content
Please remember that this is a site for anyone, anywhere in the world, of any age to visit. Use of sexual conversations, adult situations, profanity, vulgarity, abuse, etc is not tolerated here. Our staff does have a number of tools available to them to handle situations that are deemed inappropriate.

Keep your posts on topic. There are times when slight de-railments occurr, but please try to keep topics on track. You can always make a new post and reference the topic, if you are shooting it off in a different direction.

Disputes between Members or Staff.
Disputes which cannot be resolved between forum users and moderators may be arbitrated by the forum administrators. To discuss problems or concerns, please send a pm to any admin.

Piracy
Piracy will not be tolerated. We will investigate any issues of piracy of our products. Remember that you are not staff and do not have access to our customer base. Therefore you can not say for certain whether a skin is pirated or nulled. All you need to do is report the suspected piracy to a staff or admin user via PM. We will not tolerate posts related to this.

We also do report suspected IP.Board piracy violations to Invision Power Services.

We will not disclose the results of our invetigation to you at any point in time, other than to inform you that we have recieved it and will look into it.
