Q.) I want to purchase a custom skin, where do I start?
A.) First, you need to contact me, Sherri (Evanescence) by sending an email to sherri@ibskin.com to make your request, give me full details of the type of design you are wanting, including color choices, details on the amount of graphics you want, (heavy amount of graphics as seen in our premium skins here on our forums or light graphics as seen in the default IPB skin) and give us an idea of customizations you want in the skin, such as round cornered category headers and footers (as seen in most of our premium skins) and/or enhanced topic view (as seen here in most of our premium skins) etc. Then we will give you an estimate on your skin. Most custom skins start at $400. This is our base price and could go up depending on the amount of customizations you've requested. If you would like to include matching website templates (that you fill in yourself) the cost is $50 more than the cost of the custom skin design.
Q.) I have discussed the details of my custom skin request with you and I'm ready to get started, now what?
A.) You will need to visit our skin shop and make your deposit from there. Once you have made your deposit, please make sure to send any and all logos, graphics, text, etc. needed in creating the skin to the designer that is working with you. You can send these details to support [at] ibskin [dot] com or directly to the designer if you have his/her email address which should have been provided to you at this point.

Q.) How much does it cost for a custom skin design?
A.) The cost will depend on the amount of custom detail such as the amount of graphics you want, (The amount of graphics as seen in our premium skins here on our forums or light graphics as seen in the default IPB skin) and the amount of customizations you want in the skin, such as round cornered category headers and footers (as seen in most of our premium skins) and/or enhanced topic view (as seen here in most of our premium skins) and also, if you want matching web site templates and so on. The base/minimum price for our custom skins is $400 and this price can go up depending on how much additional work has been added to the project.
(example: a custom skin that has all the same features as one of our premium skins here at IBSkin without web site templates will run about $400. If you want to add web site templates, that's another $50 more, but if what you are wanting is far more in detail than something we offer here, chances are, you will pay much more for your custom skin, but you would have to submit an estimate request.)
You will FIRST make a $250 deposit on the skin design, then pay the remaining balance when the project is complete. You can do this from our skin shop here.
Q.) You are already working on my custom skin but I have changed my mind and want to make a few changes to the skin. What now?
A.) You will have to submit a change order support ticket in our help desk or email your designer with the change order request, then he/she will contact you with a new payment invoice for the amount required for the change order. All design work will stop until you pay this invoice for the change order. Your designer will not continue working on a skin that you have changed your mind about until he/she has been paid for the additional work. It is best to make sure your mind is completely made up about your custom skin before you obtain our services. Change orders can be costly. My minimum change order is $100 and goes up dramatically from there, depending on what I already had completed and what you're wanting to change. This will also cause a serious delay in the completion of your custom skin. When you submit a change order, it also delays the work on all skins waiting in line behind yours, and this is another reason for such a dramatic increase in price as we risk losing business where there are delays involved.
Q.) How long does it take to complete a custom skin once I make my payment to you?
A.) As long as we can maintain a good line of communication and you do not change your mind a lot during the design process of your skin, it should be completed within 2 to 4 weeks. If I have to wait a day or two for a response from you each time I try to contact you, and/or you change your mind about the design too frequently, it will, of course, take much longer to complete.
Q.) I can get a custom skin design on another site a LOT cheaper than here. Why do you charge so much? Will you meet their price?
A.) Yes, chances are, you can get your custom skin designed a lot cheaper on another skinning site, but you will get what you pay for. I offer quality, precision and total satisfaction, leaving nothing to be desired in my work, and I will charge accordingly. If you want to pay cheap, chances are, you will get cheap quality and little or no support, and this is not an option here. I charge higher prices to accommodate the higher quality of work that goes into my designs. I will not lower my prices for custom work to meet that of another designer, If I did this, I would have to lower my standards and that just isn't going to happen.
